Well, for all of you who knew we were in Houston this week, we wanted to let you know we are now safely home. Actually, there were no motel rooms to be found in Houston, so we had to stay in Galveston - right on the beach! There was certainly a lot of activity as we drove back to Houston this morning to catch a flight, as the evacuations had begun in earnest. Let's do remember to pray for all of those who are preparing for Hurricane Rita's possible landfall in that area, as well as those who had come to the area as evacuees following Katrina, who are now being moved again. It was strange seeing all of the people who were being housed at the Astrodome when we arrived, then knowing that they were all moved out last night.
Roger's checkup was uneventful this week. Still fiddling with a few counts, but that is really the norm for now. Change this medicine, up this dosage, try this new prescription, stand on your left foot and jump up and down, etc., etc...... No, really, his doctor is very good at keeping on top of all the symptoms and side effects that he experiences, and we are still assured that things are going as expected. It just doesn't always feel too comforting to know that this is the norm for the time being, but we do know that God is still in control, and He gives the strength and grace that we always need.
Roger and Jordan are off again tomorrow evening, so keep them and the rest of "the boys" in your prayers.
I enjoyed meeting each of you that I was able to last week at NQC. You are all truly being used by God as encouragers!
So, I remain
In His Grip,
Debbie
Hi Debbie and Roger,
It was with much gratitude and relief that I read your post just now. I have been wondering about you, knowing you were in Houston during this time of hurricane weather. It is sobering to realize the danger so many people are in, and how so many others have lost so much; family members, everything they own, and some even their lives. We don't understand why these things happen, but we do know that God is in control.
We were sorry to learn from the last post that Roger was in so much pain during the NQC. We are so proud of him that he won the favorite piano player award again. And, we are so pleased for him that he can travel this weekend and have his side kick Jordan along with him. I look forward to seeing both of them on Nov. 12th at Calvary Baptist church in Hazel Park MI.
We love you and your family. May God continue to bless and to heal.

Debbie & Roger - Ya'll need to tell Roger's doctors that until hurricane season is over, THEY (the drs.) have to come to TN. Lately, you folks seem to go to Houston and get right in the middle of a storm.
In all honesty, though, we are SO GRATEFUL that things are continuing to go well for all of you. I'm sure it's a lot of fun for Roger to have Jordan out there with him (spying for you, Debbie?), and that Roger is able to do more traveling.
All of us will continue to pray for the L5 "family" because you're ALL "special" to us.
God bless each and every one of you.

It is funny but when I heard about Hurricane Rita, I immediatly thought about you and Roger and my beloved new friends in Austin Texas as well as the population there. Know for sure that we are praying in Candada for you all. It has been so heart breaking to hear of all the ones that have suffered in the last hurricane and now there might be more. We are praying!! Dear Debbie and Roger,
It is good to know that you made it home safe and sound and that the report was good. We will keep on praying for complete healing. God is able to take care of any little problems that arise.
We will also be praying for the people in Rita's path. May they be safe from the storm. Maybe L5 needs to start singing that old song TILL THE STORM PASSES BY. We know that the storm will pass, just not when.
I wish Jordon well with the new job. It looks like he has had a great start so far. The NQC and THE GRAND OLD OPERY are great places to work the first 2 weeks of a new job. I think it is great that he and his Father are able to spend this time together and what better teachers could he have than Roger and Scott.
Keep up the good work and I will keep up the prayers on my end.

Legacy Five,
I would like to thank each and everyone of you folks for bringing great music and message to all of us who enjoy good sounds and words. The first time I laid my eyes and ears on the group, I fell in love with the music and it's mission (The concept of Southern Gospel Quartet Music). When I was a teen I thought The Beatles were the best thing that came around. But now I realize that Jesus was the BEST thing that ever came around! I'm an advid fan of L5 and I try to go to the places that they appear in. Will be seeing them in NOV. in Covina, Ca. Just want to thank Roger, Scott, Frank, Scott, and Glenn for inspiring me in Southern Gospel music.
I'm in a quartet myself and we love you guys! Hang in there and let the Holy Spirit guide you in whatever you do.
We'll see you soon,
Larry J. Nardini

Congrats on the Painist of the Year Award! You are the best out there!

Dear Bennetts: So glad and thankful to hear that Roger is doing so well. I was blessed beyond imagination on Friday evening in Baxter/Brainerd, MN to be in the audience for the concert there. I felt such a moving of the Holy Spirit and felt much more
in touch with Jesus during and after the concert. Thank you L5 so much for being so open to what God wants from you for us. It was great to see Jordan with his dad and their duet was absolutely wonderful. You are continually in my prayers and I am looking forward already to next year in our town.

Hey L5 (or should i say L6)
I can't begin to tell you how much your concert in Baxter, MN did for my spirit. You guys weren't afraid to give your personal testimonies or to present the gospel and invite ppl to come to Christ. It showed me you guys are more concerned about ministering than simply making money. The music was so powerful and heartfelt, it was your best concert in MN I've heard (and i've only missed once).
It was real and we had sweet fellowship with the Lord that night. God bless you for your stand to always sing about the Blood of Christ and the Old Rugged Cross. Keep on keeping on!
In Christ

(PS) I am SOO glad y'all can keep Frank Seamans!
(PSS) Keep Jordan with you.. it was great to see father and son playing together :-)

Dear Debbie & Roger, I'm so proud that Frank is staying with the group. He toldme about when I stopped by the booth. I also talked with Jordan. He,s a fine young man and I know how much you love him.My friend took a photo of Frank, and also the bass singer which Roger loves to call "Cuz" He is so good and the whole group brings out the fact that it's the the blood of Jesus that makes whole
