Roger, I don't know you but have followed your journey. The chorus of this song is my prayer for you and your family.

Many times I'm tried and tested
As I travel day by day
Oft I meet with pain and sorrow
And there's trouble in the way
But I have the sweet assurance
That my soul the Lord will lead
And in him there is strength for every need.

Oh his grace is sufficient for me
And his love is abundant and free
and what joy fills my soul
just to know, just to know
that His grace is sufficient for me.

When the tempter brings confusion
And I don't know what to do
On my knees I turn to Jesus
For He'll always see me through.
Then despair is changed to victory
Every doubt just melts away
And in Him there is hope for every day.

Oh his grace is sufficient for me
And his love is abundant and free
And what joy fills my soul
just to know, just to know
that His grace is sufficient for me.

Dear Roger and Debbie,

I am praying that the Lord will give you the strength that you need to fight this battle. The Lord certainly understands all that we go through even though we may not. You both will be in my prayers both night and day. May our blessed Lord and Saviour bless you both.

God's Word says that men ought always to pray and not to faint. The Lord has brought us this far and will continue,we have His Word. Stay in the Word, there's Comfort, Faith - He's all that we need. Hold on to His Word, the Peace that passes all understanding is available for us 24/7!!! In the night season and all the day long, he that dwells in the SECRET PLACE of the Most High shall abide under the Shadow of the Almighty. Roger and Debbie, have great expection. There are battles to win everyday-whatever the report-He's still God Almighty, He spoke the world's into existance. Allow the Comforter to comfort you, rest in Him,keep in the Word. Lamentations 3, and verses 18-26 is a passage well known, remember? His mercy and compassionns are new every morning. Great is Thy Faithfulness.

Good Afternoon:

For some strange reason you have been on my heart, I then started watching and listening to the Cathedrals videos yesterday and today and I felt like I should search out to see how you are doing. What I found was the unexpected detour you and your family are facing.

I remember attending a concert in Michigan, and George announcing the wonderful news of your original recovery! I remember you getting up and sharing your testimony and I was so encouraged to see such a man of faith, hope and love! I remember thinking what a great opportunity to see God move. I was truly encouraged!

The bible says:

(Jam 5:16 KJV) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

I believe you have many friends who love, honour and walk with God!

I believe God still has purpose and plans for you! I can't wait until I here about your praise report. Jer 29:11-13

You along with Scott, George and Glen have really blessed and encouraged my entire family with the love of God shining from your music. We will be praying hard for Gods Healing Touch and Peace in your life.

I look forward to seeing you the next time you are in Michigan.

God bless you,

Roger and Debbie
I am so sorry to hear this latest report but we still serve a God of miracles and I still believe that he has one for you.
I also remember being at a concert here in Winston-Salem when you were giving your testimony and in it you said one day that all Christians would have the ultimate healing and that would be when we saw our Lord and Savior the one that you have sung about all these years and in every email you sign that you are In His Grip and your life has and is showing that you are In His Grip. I will be praying for you and your family and also the Doctors that are looking after you. KEEP THE FAITH and just remember you also of one of the Heros of the Faith to many people myself included.

Dear Roger and Debbie
You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God give your the grace to go through another major storm.

'The soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose,
He will not, He will not desert to its foes.
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
He'll never, no never, no NEVER forsake!'

Praying for you,

Debra in Missouri

Once again, I am deeply saddened to hear of your recent health set-back. Any attempt on my part to try and understand the reason why some of us go through these troubles & trials, is far beyond ALL human comprehension! I have been wonderfully blessed down through the years by much of your inspired music. Especially, one of the songs off your Freedom album, "The Sunshine Of Today" This song is very heartfelt, and say's it all! To ever imagine that the Lord is NOT involved in ALL of your daily struggle's, is completely "unthinkable" for me. That is why I will "keep on" rejoicing & praying daily for you & your family. May God hold your hand, and keep you strong in your faith, as you walk through these deep waters. Remember, you are "NOT" walking alone!

Dear Roger, Debbie and Kids;

We were gone over the weekend so I didn't get to check our Email until last night. We were saddened by the devastating news. We will continue to pray for your family and Legacy Five. I don't know if you ever heard the song "Thy Will Be Done" but Al has sang it so many times.

It's as follows:
Sometimes the road is heavy and sometimes the road is long.
And sometimes this heart of mine is not so very strong.
But Thy will be done, Lord, Thy will be done.

Father, I do not ask You to take this cup from me.
I noly ask Your guidance o'er paths I cannont see.
And Thy will be done, Lord, Thy will be done.

Then it goes into The Lord's Prayer after that -

Now Lord I feel You near me, I feel Your guiding power.
And know You're standing by me through ev'ry passing hour.
And Thy will be done, Lord, Thy will be done.

This is our pray for you and hope you feel his nearness.

In His Grip!
All our love,
Al & Eloise

What I'm Reading Right Now

  • Ron Mehl: What God Whispers in the Night

Ron Mehl: What God Whispers in the Night
Ron Mehl is a hero that I never met. A friend gave me this book a couple of years ago and it really touched me. Ron was suffering with Leukemia and had written several wonderful books before this one "Whispers" really got to me. The main thought is why is it that God who IS light, who created light, does so much of his work in the dark? The answer, because that's where WE are. We struggle in darkness, our weakness is more pronounced in the darkness and we feel so alone in our darkness. But....God is not intimidated by the dark! He invades it and speaks to us there! You should read this book asap. (*****)
