I am sitting here on my couch typing this post, after having had an Indian dinner with Chelsea. Dinner was delicious, but the company was even better! We were kind of putting off a sad evening at home, our last one with our precious 15 year old Cocker Spaniel, Sadie. We have made the decision, based on her rapid decline in the past 24 hours, to let her go tomorrow. (An update - sweet Sadie did not make it through the night....) It has been heartbreaking, especially since she will be our 4th little buddy we have lost in the past 1 1/2 years. Those are the hazards of having them all pretty much the same age, but we have lost our 2 oldest puppies, and our 2 oldest kitties. It will be a difficult transition for the one Cocker we have left, but I have a feeling she will be even more spoiled than she already is. I wouldn't trade a minute with any of them, but I am not looking to replace them, either. The loss is hard to handle, and so we will concentrate on loving the 1 pup and 2 kitties we still have with us.
As for the rest of the goings-on around here, things are pretty much the same. I spend a lot of time between TN and AR, and try to deal with all of the other things going on in the meantime. I so enjoyed the 3 days I got to spend at NQC. I get to visit with friends I only get to see once a year. My dear friend Scott Fowler was up to his usual shenanigans, though, and managed to embarrass me AND get it on video at the same time. That's one talented guy! Then, the first weekend in Oct., we had the Roger Bennett Memorial concert in Batesville, AR with guests The Isaacs, and had such a great time. (I had also squeezed in a yard sale at my Mom's house that weekend, so it was a very busy few days!)
Fall is finally beginning to show its warm colors around here, and we are enjoying the beauty of it. It is a daily reminder of our Creator, and His love for us. Seasons in nature change, just as the seasons of our lives do. While change may not always be comfortable for us, with a little faith and trust, we can find the beauty in it. God always has a plan for us, and even when we can't see it, we can believe that He loves us and has the best plan for our lives. Yes, seasons come, and seasons go, but it is a joy to know that we are always
In His Grip!
Debbie
P.S. The Roger Bennett Direct sale is still on through October. Check out the previous post for the details.
Changes are hard, but we must embrace it. There is a season for everything. I am having a trying time with the end of a relationship and job. Whew! Evenso, while this is very trying, I want to see the beauty in life.

Hi Debbie, Always so great to hear from you. I am sorry about your dog. Can't help but love those sweet things. Glad you enjoyed your days at NQC you needed some fun time and there is always fun there. Hope your mom and Dad are hanging in there and glad you and CHelsea got to spend some good mom and daughter time. I truly miss my mom so much but the one thing that keeps me from missing all my family so much is the words from Rogers service and song we will be with them longer than without and that has brought me more comfort and i have shared it with so many people since then and they love it also. Just keep taking it daily and enjoy your time with your folks even when it gets hectic you will look back and enjoy that time. They are blessed to have you. Have a good week and keep smiling thanks for your encouraging words each post they mean so much to all of us. love your KY friend Becky

HI DEBBIE,
SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR FOUR LEGGED BABY..I HAVE TWO DOGS AND ONE CAT...ALL ARE OLDER FROM 8 TO 10 YEARS OLD AND WHEN THEY LEAVE ME THEY WON'T BE REPLACED. I LOVE HAVING AN ANIMAL AROUND BUT I DON'T WANT TO START OVER WITH ANY MORE.
ISN'T IT WONDERFUL TO HAVE A DAUGHTER..I HAVE TWO SON'S THAT LOVE BEYOND MEASURE AND VERY THANKFUL FOR THEM BUT I AM GLAD THAT GOD GAVE ME A DAUGHTER. I LOVE THE TIMES WE HAVE TOGETHER JUST THE TWO OF US..MY DAUGHTER IS MY BEST FRIEND AND I KNOW I AM HERS.
IT IS GOOD TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO HAVE SOME DOWN TIME..TO KICK BACK AND RELAX. YOUR SUMMER CERTAINLY HAS BEEN FULL AND OVER FLOWING.
I WENT BACK THREE OR FOUR POSTINGS AND COULDN'T FIND HOW TO LOCATE YOUR SPECIALS. I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO GET ONE OF ROGER'S "MIDNIGHT MEDITATIONS" I COPIED SEVERAL WHEN HE WAS POSTING AND HAVE USED THEM AS DEVOTIONALS FOR VESPER PROGRAMS. IN FACT LAST WEEK I USED THE ONE ON JOY WHERE HE SANG HIMSELF OUT OF DESPAIR..EVERYONE RECEIVED A BLESSING FROM IT. I THINK THIS IS WHAT I CHERISH MOST ABOUT YOUR POSTINGS..REGARDLESS OF WHAT IS GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE, REGARDLESS OF THE STRESS YOU ARE HANDLING..YOU ALWAYS MANAGE TO LEAVE ME INSPIRED AND BLESSED. THANK YOU FOR KEEPING THIS THING GOING.
LOVE, BLESSINGS AND PRAYERS,

First thank you for your prayers on FB on the loss of my precious brother. This is my first close death of a loved one since the loss of my dear husband. You helped me pass through the grief & pain of losing him. We lost our soulmates close in time
Debbie, my heart aches for you,but God brought a lost baby boy into your life to love & nuture as Isaiah made the transition to his daddy's care. By loving Isaiah, any mistakes you might have made was forgiven by our Father when he saw your love & courage dealing with bringing happiness to Isaiah.
Debbie, I love & admire you & am here for you if I can help as we stand firmly In His Grip.
