Life is chaotic.....hectic......frantic....and beautiful. Every time I think that I have just about reached the end of a rope, I am reminded that God is still in control, and peace once again stills the anxiety that creeps up when I am not watching.
This morning, I was sitting on my porch, drinking coffee, reading my Bible, (and having a face-off with a curious hummingbird!), and as I turned to Psalm 139, I was reminded that every thought, every action that I have, have ever had, or ever will have, has been known since before I even existed. God's plan for my life has ALWAYS been! He knows every detail of what I am going through.....and He knows every detail of your life, too. He is full of mercy and grace, and He LOVES us! He knows when we are going to make mistakes, and His love reaches down and picks us back up, and sets our feet on the right path. What better way to start the day than to realize that I may approach my every action with the knowledge that, if I seek God's face, He will direct me. Thank you, Father, for loving us!
God continues to give me grace. My family is doing well. While experiencing the ups and downs of our circumstances, we are moving forward, and relying on God, and each other, to do so. And in His caring way, God continues to throw in little surprises and blessings that make us know that He is still orchestrating our lives. I'm full of joy for His lovingkindness!
One of the new blessings in my life, as I have shared before, is the ministry of the Veranda. I don't get to be there every day, but I do try to get up there every week. It's such a joy to be with these precious people! (The Veranda at College Heights now has a page on Facebook. It's a work in progress, so keep watching!) We laugh, share, and just enjoy each other. Last week, we received the sweetest note from a caregiver, who was going shopping alone for the 2nd time in 5 years while her loved one was with us. Wow. And it really doesn't feel like work at all! We are still feeling our way with the program, and in need of finances, but God is providing, and I am so grateful to see my friend Mary Anne's vision coming to life in such a wonderful way.
I guess my purpose in writing this post is just to say that, whatever the circumstances in your life, God loves you; He cares; He is working it out for your good; He wants you to experience joy; and He will always hold you tenderly
In His Grip!
